The Jasmin shirt was first introduced into our collection for our aw17 collection (back in 2016). That collection celebrated Levis’ teenage years growing up as a goth in a small rural town in Texas. The very first iteration of the shirt was first designed by Levi as part of his BA fashion course in 2006. There is a project in the first year at Central Saint Martins which both Levi and Matthew did, called “The Shirt Project”. It’s the first time that, as students you are cutting a real garment. While Matthew and his piers struggled to make something resembling a garment, Levi, already with a degree in pattern cutting, turned up to the critique with 6 fully realised shirts, the Jasmin shirt was one of these.

“The Jasmin Shirt” is named after one of Levis’ high school friends, Jasmin Rodriguez Thronesbery in celebration of his turbulent teenage years in Texas.

Available this season in our mixed wide stripe or our reversible diagonal blue stripe.
